End-of-January Update

Friday, February 5 is the final day that Living Earth’s Hats & Scarves “drop-off” baskets will be out to collect hand-knit and crocheted items for kids, families, and other folks this winter. Since mid-November we have collected more than 450 beautiful hand-crafted items to share home-made warmth with those in need!

Our distribution partners this winter have included IRCO Africa House, Emanuel Children’s Hospital, Sisters of the Road, Blanchet House, and the Clothes Closet for Portland Public Schools. Drop-sites for finished items are at Seven Corners New Seasons Market and all Albina Community Bank branches.

If you’re working on a hat or scarf that isn’t quite done, or need yarn to finish something up, post back and we’ll connect with you.

We’ll post something in the next week or two about our “Post-Season Potluck.”

Thanks for being warm-hearted and generous with your nimble-fingered talents. The beautiful items you produce are GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks to everyone who is making this year’s project so incredibly successful!
